Dr Fana, Thanduxolo Elford.

Thanduxolo Fana is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Public Management and Leadership. He holds a PhD in Public Administration (UFH), a Masters in HIV/AIDS Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation (Stellenbosch), an MPA and B Tech in Human Resources Management (NMMU). He lectures undergraduate modules in the department, and supervises and co-supervise research students at Honours, Masters and Doctoral levels.

Before joining Nelson Mandela University (PML), Dr Fana worked as a Researcher at UCT Faculty of Health Sciences (Desmond Tutu HIV Centre) and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Public Health (Centre for Health Policy- February 2018 to January 2021). He has vast experience in Public Health Sector Human Resources Management and Administration. His research interest includes human resources management, public participation, intergovernmental relations, public sector decision making, governance and accountability, health systems policy implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
