Dr Amina Jakoet-Salie
Dr JAkoet-Salie is the Head of Department in Public Management and Leadership. She is also the Programme Leader for the Diploma in Public Management and the Advanced Diploma in Public Administration and Management. She started lecturing at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University since 2010 and lectures on both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. She supervises Honours and Masters research, including co-supervising doctoral students. She is currently a doctoral mentor for the National Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS). She completed her PhD at the Nelson Mandela University entitled “Co-Production of trust for effective local governance: A Case study of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality”. Her research niche areas include, service delivery, public participation, community engagement, public policy and co-production.
